Black Christmas (1974): sweater replica now available for pre-order

Have you ever watched the 1974 Bob Clark classic Black Christmas (which you can watch HERE) and wished you could buy an exact replica of the sweater worn in the film by Olivia Hussey’s character Jess? If so, your day has finally come, as Ama Lea’s Poltergeists and Paramours now has replicas of that sweater available for pre-order!

Instead of being called “The Black Christmas Sweater”, the sweater is being sold as “Unisex Dark Holiday Sweater“. Poltergeists and Paramours has sizes XS through 5X available for the price of $90. You can put in your pre-order at THIS LINK; the sweater will start shipping out in November.

Here’s the information on it:

This is a high quality retro 70s era cozy knit sweater with knit hands on the front and a varsity dropped V neckline and trimmed sleeves. 60% Cotton 40% Acrylic.

The site notes that if you want to pair the sweater with a yellow shirt like Jess did, you’ll have to buy a yellow shirt separately.

The 1974 version of Black Christmas has the following synopsis:

As winter break begins, a group of sorority sisters, including Jess (Olivia Hussey) and the often inebriated Barb (Margot Kidder), begin to receive anonymous, lascivious phone calls. Initially, Barb eggs the caller on, but stops when he responds threateningly. Soon, Barb’s friend Claire (Lynne Griffin) goes missing from the sorority house, and a local adolescent girl is murdered, leading the girls to suspect a serial killer is on the loose. But no one realizes just how near the culprit is.

Bob Clark, who would go on to direct the family-friendly classic A Christmas Story, directed Black Christmas from a screenplay by A. Roy Moore. In addition to the cast members mentioned above, the film also stars Keir Dullea, John Saxon, Marian Waldman, and Andrea Martin.
