In related news, David Goyer shared with SciFi Wire that he’s amenable to a Nightstalker spinoff movie if TRINITY does well, focusing strictly on the characters of Hannibal King (Ryan Reynolds) and Abby Whistler (Jessica Biel):
“I loved working with Ryan and Jessica, would work with them again in a heartbeat,” Goyer said. “And so if the will of the people dictates it—if [Blade: Trinity]’s successful, and people really respond to the characters—then we’ll try a movie with them. It wouldn’t involve vampires, though. It would be something else.”
Let me be the first to suggest a Nightstalker/Van Wilder crossover. Not that it’d be a good fit, though seeing Ryan Reynolds as Wilder teaching Ryan Reynolds as King how to party would be great. No, the real reason is that with the Van Wilder vibe in the mix, Jessica Biel would HAVE to get naked. OK, OK, bad idea for a film, but seriously, can you argue with the visual. I ask the jury to carefully consider the evidence humbly offered below.
