BLADE continues to kick that ass friends. The Spike TV debut on Wednesday pulled in 2.5 million viewers, representing the best performing original series start in Spike‘s history.
Here’s what prez Doug Herzog had to say about the result: “These numbers have put us right in the game. It’s the first scripted original we’ve ever done, and ‘Blade’ was the No. 1 entertainment show for the night in men 18-34 and men 18-49.”
Because of the success, Spike TV has now greenlit two other action pilots, including AMPED from Frank Spotnitz who talks about the intriguing project in our interview with him here.
So if you caught the show, spit bullets on what you thought. Lame knock-off or stand alone fun? If you didn’t catch it, check in with Ammon about how to see it for free on iTunes.
