Bloody first trailer for first-person POV actioner Hardcore

If you're a fan of the Ilya Naishuller-directed video for Biting Elbow's "Bad Motherf*cker," you're gonna love this premiere trailer for HARDCORE, his feature film debut starring Sharlto Copley, THE EQUALIZER's Haley Bennett and VAMPIRE ACADEMY actor Danila Kozlovsky. Like Naishuller's previous videos, the movie was shot entirely from the first person perspective. The trailer starts a little slow, but really picks up around the 1:10 mark with a NSFW headshot.

"You can save a lot of lives, but you're going to need to take a few along the way."

Synopsis:

You remember nothing. Mainly because you've just been brought back from the dead by your wife. She tells you that your name is Henry and congratulations, you're now a cyborg.

5 minutes later, your wife has been kidnapped and you should probably go get her back. Who's got her? His name's Akan (Kozlovsky), he's just a psychotic megalomaniac with telekinetic powers, and a never-ending army of mercenaries. You're also in an unfamiliar city of Moscow, Russia and everyone wants you dead. Everyone, except for a mysterious, British fellow called Jimmy (Copley). He might be on your side. Good luck Henry. Youre very much likely to need it. Oh, did I tell you that your battery is quickly running out?

Ilya Naishuller also wrote the film's script, and it was executive produced by NIGHT WATCH and ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER director Timur Bekmambetov. Are you interested in checking out HARDCORE?

HARDCORE will probably be released sometime this year.
