Hot on the heels of Mickey Rourke and Sam Rockwell signing on to the IRON MAN sequel as unspecified villains (Rourke is either playing Crimson Dynamo or Whiplash and Rockwell may be playing Justin Hammer) and the seriously disappointing news that bad ass motherfrakker Sam Jackson may not be playing Nick Fury in a future AVENGERS film, comes word that delicious and exceptionally talented British brunette thesp Emily Blunt is the front runner to portray Natasha Romanoff aka The Black Widow in the film. This, of course, confirms the rumor that Romanoff will actually play a significant part in the sequel – maybe starting as a villain then getting in the sack with Tony Stark. No plot has yet been revealed (other than what you can piece together with the casting announcements) for the Justin Theroux scripted and Jon Favreau directed flick, but having a smoking hot Blunt as a sultry Russian spy in ridiculously tight leather is certainly yet another step in the right direction.
