In a recent interview with Uwe Boll,
Fangoria picked up the scoop on his shocker flick SEED. The movie is about a
convict who doesn’t quite die in the electric chair and returns for revenge.
That said, recent rumours have arisen stating that there are several scenes
which will land the flick an NC-17 rating. When asked to comment about this Boll
said:
“Yes, I believe this scene will get the movie an NC-17, but the point for me was
to make a movie that is completely uncompromising,” admits Boll, whose previous
fare has been far more fantastical in tone. “The hammer scene with the
woman—this is the scene where even the hardcore horror fans will walk out of the
cinema because it is really disgusting,” he laughs. “But, look, I wanted to make
a movie that was frightening. I was tired of the advertising of SAW, HOSTEL,
HILLS HAVE EYES boasting about being the ‘hardest’ horror movies, and we will
definitely top all of them. We’ve done things that are more brutal and bitter.”
Boll really seems like he’s got
something to prove here, and hopefully that drive will lead to a great gore
fest. To see what else Boll had to say to Fango, click
