Boll redux

For those who think that Uwe Boll can’t possibly make up for the stinkers HOUSE OF THE DEAD and ALONE IN THE DARK, you may want to read this.

In a newsletter we received from Boll, it stated that he, along with Billy Zane’s Romar Entertainment, have cut new versions of both HOTD and AITD (wtf?) to be released to DVD in the future.

The new versions of the films will be HOUSE OF THE DEAD: THE FUNNY VERSION and ALONE IN THE DARK: DIRECTOR’S CUT. Now, anyone who has seen the original version of HOTD knows that the film is already painfully funny, and really has no redeeming qualities to it (other than Ona Grauer), and the less said about ALONE IN THE DARK to fans of the games, the better.

How Boll can do this all the while he has both BLOODRAYNE and DUNGEON SIEGE on his plate is beyond me. The man obviously has found a secret period of time and space to do this in. Can Boll improve upon his originals? We’ll see, but put it this way: You can’t polish a turd.
