With the announcement of SAW III a few weeks back, I’m stoked to see that director Darren Lynn Bousman is already lining up his next project after SAW III is filmed, wrapped and released by Halloween. Way to think ahead!
According to Variety, Twisted Pictures and Dimension Films are teaming up to make WICHITA, based in a small all-American town, where 8 people commit a horrible crime, and the effect it has on each and every one of them. I’m seeing very psychological shit here, and depending on the brutality of the crime, even some of the good ol’ red stuff. Here’s what writer Scott Miam had to say:”It’s a slice of Americana gone bad and getting worse.” . Nice.
I think suburbia America is some of the scariest shit I’ve ever seen, so a movie exploring that creepiness sounds good- and as SAW II rocked me hard, I can only hope for the best here.
