To help satiate your weekly need for new SCOTT PILGRIM VS. THE WORLD footage, we’ve got a brand new UK trailer for the film with tons of new footage. I think I like this one better than the full US trailer but not quite as much as the original teaser though. But whatever that song is that plays in the background, I just can’t get out of my head. (Edgar Wright helpfully shares that the song I’m referring to is The Prodigy’s “Invaders Must Die.”)
This trailer focuses a little more on the ass-kicking and less on the Scott/Ramona courtship, which may be a good thing. And I don’t mean that indicative of the movie as a whole but just from a marketing standpoint. The film looks like it sports some bitchin’ action (Mary Elizabeth Winstead with a giant Thor hammer – yes please), so why not show it off?
But OK, enough of me jabbering. Check out the latest trailer below and get ready for SCOTT PILGRIM to hit theaters on August 13.
