Cute as a button Brea Grant is a multitalented lady, and she is adding director to her resume.
The film she is directing is called BEST FRIENDS FOREVER, she developed it with Vera Miao, the pair co-wrote it and are also starring. It has begun production and a blog has been set up to let people know about the film. It currently is a little bare bones but there are some cool pictures and other bits on there. It is a good little site to keep up to date with the project with.
The blog states the film is a dark comedy and sci-fi horror film, combining equal parts buddy film, road trip and nuclear apocalypse story, but with girls.
Harriet, the perpetual but unsuccessful optimist, has finally figured out how to take her passion for comics and turn it into a responsible life. But when she and Reba, her seemingly devil-may-care best friend, hit the road to deliver her to grad school in Austin, TX and her new life, an impending nuclear apocalypse endangers even the best friendships and best-laid plans.
We are proud to shoot Best Friends Forever on Super 16mm on location in Los Angeles and the great state of Texas.
