Brett Ratner’s Hercules with Dwayne Johnson gets an official release date

JoBloJoBlo

For those of you hoping that Brett Ratner‘s HERCULES, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson would never come to light, well, you’re out of luck.  Paramount Pictures and MGM have set a release date of August 8, 2014 for the pic, which is an adaptation of the comic, Hercules: The Thracian Wars, published by Radical Comics.  The story is said to be a “revisionist take on the classic myth and is set in a world where the supernatural does not exist.” So, there you have it.

Add this to the massive amount of projects that Johnson is attached to, not to mention his on-and-off involvement with WWE, and you’ve got one of the most prolific actors working today.  Johnson’s SNITCH is set to debut next month, then the long-delayed G.I. JOE: RETALIATION in March, followed by Michael Bay‘s PAIN AND GAIN in April, then THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS 6 in May. He also has the recently wrapped EMPIRE STATE, co-starring Liam Hemsworth, awaiting a release date.  If you aren’t already, you will be “Rocked” the f*ck out by the end of the year.

Is Dwayne Johnson the new Jason Statham?
