Broke Imago pos.

To start off, a very Happy Halloween to all our fellow faithful AITH readers! Now, on to the article…

A long time ago, in an article far, far away, I informed you all of the oddly titled little mutant horror THE BROKEN IMAGO. Just to refresh your minds, an IMAGO is a part of bug terminology that describes when an insect reaches its adult stage and is therefore able to reproduce. This translates to a pretty f*cked up idea for a genre flick. Speaking of f*cked up, did you see that new poster for the flick up top? Damn, that is some intense shit. Wait till you get a load of the full plot synopsis:

A vengeful nature has unleashed a powerful virus from the world’s diminishing rain forests. Transmitted through air and touch, the virus physically assaults the doomed infected, violently twisting their bodies into strange intolerable shapes. Within weeks of the first reported outbreaks, the members of an elite Catholic boarding school on a remote island lose communication with the outside world. Facing the terrible possibility of the end of the world, they begin to struggle amongst themselves. The virus hits and they realize they were wrong. Civilization isn’t ending. Only the adults are dying. The children have begun to change…

Man, I’m freaked out just reading that. BROKEN IMAGO will be directed by Douglas Buck (SISTERS), who also wrote the script. A teaser is currently in the works to be shown to potential distributors and co-producers. For more info, you can check out its website here.
