So far we’ve seen nothing from Rian Johnson’s LOOPER, his highly anticipated follow-up to THE BROTHERS BLOOM. But the film just screened some footage at Cannes (likely to drum up interest from the studios as the film was produced independently) and now Empire has our first look at a photo from the film.
As you may have heard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt stars as a hitman in the future who is set his marks via time travel. One day a victim arrives and it turns out it’s JGL’s future self (as played by Bruce Willis). As you can imagine, he doesn’t go down without a fight. The film also stars Emily Blunt, Paul Dano and Jeff Daniels but below we get a shot at Willis doing what he does best – fucking shit up. There’s blood splattered on the wall behind him, so this is no doubt just the beginning.
There’s still no idea when LOOPER will hit theaters (it’ll need to find a studio first) but I’d love to see some of the film at Comic-Con this year. Take a look at the photo below and click to see a larger version over at Empire.
