When he isn’t babysitting Ashton Kutcher, Bruce Willis is still being one of cinema’s serious badasses. Dude probably has more misfires than hits in his career, but hey, the hits have been home runs… Easily one of his more recent memorable moments came with his brief but entertaining turn as a shady operative in Sly Stallone’s THE EXPENDABLES. If nothing else – and it provided a helluva lot to enjoy – the scene just left you wanting more. We’ve heard the rumors that Willis, and perhaps Ahnold, will return for the sequel, but how accurate are they?
Willis spoke with Yahoo! after last night’s Golden Globes and provided some encouraging news:
“Apparently it’s going to happen this year,” Willis said. Asked if he was definitely returning, Willis responded: “As far as I know, barring any unforeseen circumstances, but yeah, I would love to be a part of it.”
Yes please! All I ask is that his character’s role expands. “Church’ seemed a very untrustworthy guy, and methinks he’d have no problem setting up Barney and the crew. Could be looking at the next villain of the series – and if the EXPENDABLES has a fault, I’d say it’s the the bad guys weren’t quite strong enough.
What say you?
