As future film projects continue to sell like hotcakes at this year's Cannes Market, it's been announced that Saban Films has acquired the North American and U.K. rights to Jared Cohn’s REACTOR, starring Bruce Willis.

The upcoming thriller follows a former soldier as he takes down a gang of mercenaries whose leader’s (Willis) lust for revenge leads to him holding a nuclear power plant hostage.

“Bruce continues to be a leader in the action genre and we could not be more thrilled to be adding this newest addition to our growing Bruce Willis library,” said Saban Films’ Bill Bromiley.

Casting for the film is happening right now, with Almost Never Films’ Danny Chan and Danny Roth, 308 Entertainment’s Corey Large and Johnny Messner producing, while Steven Eads will executive produce.

Willis is currently in the midst of contributing to MIDNIGHT IN THE SWITCHGRASS from director Randall Emmett. The story revolves around an FBI agent and Florida State officer who team up to investigate a string of unsolved murder cases. Starring alongside Willis in the upcoming thriller are Megan Fox, Emile Hirsch, Machine Gun Kelly and Sistine Rose Stallone, among others.

While Willis' work has been hit and miss over the past several years, it's always fun to see what he's got cooking. Here's hoping that REACTOR is as over the top as the synopsis suggests, and that we can all look forward to when the movie charges up on screen.
