Bryan Cranston & Kevin Hart’s Intouchables remake gets March release date

Blue meth cooker extraordinaire Bryan Cranston and tiny funny man Kevin Hart have teamed up with each other, and the Weinstein Company, for a remake of the 2001 French biographical comedy-drama THE INTOUCHABLES. Furthermore, the film now has an official release date of March 9, 2018. Originally directed by Olivier Nakache and Eric Toledano, the film of Philippe (played by Francois Cluzet), and how after he becomes a quadriplegic from a paragliding accident, an aristocrat hires a young man from the projects to be his caregiver. For the remake, Nicole Kidman will also star along with Julianna Margulies and Aja Naomi King.

Neil Burger will helm the remade film from a script penned by Jon Hartmere. Borrowing from a similar vein of the original French comedy, the remake chronicles the unexpected friendship between Cranston’s character, a Park Avenue billionaire left paralyzed after a hang-gliding accident, and Hart’s character, who plays a convicted felon recently released from prison and in need of a job and a fresh start. The duo form an unlikely bond, bridging their differences and gaining invaluable wisdom in the process.

THE INTOUCHABLES is being scheduled for a March 9, 2018 release, which will see the film opening against Disney's A WRINKLE IN TIME and Ava DuVernay's GRINGO.
