The Gummer is coming back to do battle with those 'mother hoppers' once again!
Last week we brought you the news that director Don Michael Paul would be helming a new entry in the TREMORS franchise for Universal and now we've learned that Michael Gross will be reprising his role as Burt Gummer, the paranoid militant turned graboid hunter, for the sequel. Moviehole has learned that Gross will be returning to the series for TREMORS 5, which is said to be more of a sequel than a redo.
TREMORS 5 is currently casting for a September kick-off in South Africa.
Talk of a TREMORS continuation have been around for years. It was way back in 2008 when we first heard rumblings of a TREMORS 5, but nothing came of it and it seemed that Universal was pretty much done with the franchise. Now it seems that TREMORS 5 is most definitely happening, and bringing back Michael Gross for the fun seems like a step in the right direction.
