Trailer! C. Thomas Howell and James Duval go Beast Mode in upcoming film

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

Genre sales outfit Devilworks has acquired the worldwide rights to directors Chris W. Freeman and Spain Willingham's BEAST MODE and will be presenting the film to potential distributors during the online Marché du Film later this month.

Described as an '80s throwback, BEAST MODE stars '80s icon C. Thomas Howell as a character named Breen Nash,

a has-been Hollywood producer who turns to an ancient herbal elixir to save his career after he accidentally kills his lead star. His pact unleashes a band of bloodthirsty shape-shifting beasts on LA.

Howell is joined in the cast by James Hong, Ray Wise, Leslie Easterbrook, and Robert Costanzo, with James Duval in a dual role.

Freeman and Willingham produced the film with Aaron Scotti.

A tweet on Duval's Twitter account indicates that filming wrapped on BEAST MODE in September of 2017, so this one has been in the works for a while. I'm a fan of its cast members, so I hope it will be very successful at the Marché du Film.
