Caine talks Inception

All eyes are on British filmmaker Chris Nolan, who after helming the second most financially successful film in history (behind TITANIC), now looks to an equally all-star cast to bring about the sci-fi thriller INCEPTION.

And thanks to a dude who’s cut his teeth onscreen for over 4 decades, a man who’s collaborated with Nolan thrice prior (BATMAN BEGINS, THE PRESTIGE, the afore-alluded-to DARK KNIGHT), Sir Michael Caine has sat down with Empire Magazine to reveal some details on the much shrouded 2010 project.

In particular, Caine admits “I play a professor who’s teaching a guy science. It’s Leonardo DiCaprio. He’s going off to do a science project and he speaks to me before he goes.”

Keeping just mum enough for a Nolan outing, Caine does muse that although the plot is set “in the architecture of the mind”, Nolan and company “wouldn’t let me read the script. I only got my page. They’re all very secretive!”

Oh that Nolan!

Remember, supporting Caine and DiCaprio in INCEPTION are Marion Cotillard (below), Cillian Murphy, Ellen Page, Lukas Haas, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Ken Watanabe, Tom Hardy and…wait for it…Tom Berenger (the Berenge? Really?)
