The new red-band trailer for the Cameron Diaz / Justin Timberlake / Jason Segel comedy BAD TEACHER might be the reddest red-band trailer I’ve seen in a while. It’s short on violence and boobs (sorry) but what it lacks in those areas it makes up for in sheer vulgarity.
I went back and forth between thinking they were just using the fairly simple premise of having a beautiful woman like Cameron Diaz act like such a foul bitch as the only reason to make us laugh (and that’s really all that’s on display here) and actually having to admit to myself that seeing Cameron Diaz act like such a foul bitch is pretty funny. I have no idea if it can sustain the length of movie without tiring us out but I’m at least impressed that Sony put out a trailer with this kind of redness to the red-band.
