So it seems SCREAM 4 is really shaping up! First Neve Campbell didn’t want any part of it… then she’s all for it… and now she’s chatting about it! That’s right folks, Sidney Prescott herself has finally opened up about SCREAM 4!
Black Book Mag got the goods recently when they had a chance to sit down and speak with the actress. Campbell explains that she’s greatful for what the SCREAM franchise has done for her career, that she wouldn’t mind being pegged the next Jamie Lee Curtis ala scream queen fame and that the character of Sidney Prescott is ‘all about the bob.’ Oh yeah… Campbell also dishes that apparently Craven is already on board to direct!
“I’m pretty sure at this stage that Wes [Craven] is back on board to direct and Kevin [Willamson] is definitely writing it…so it is going to be great.”
Then again ‘pretty sure’ isn’t exactly solid fact huh? Is there any doubt Craven will sign on at this point though? It’s clear SCREAM 4 is quickly working it’s way to being one of the most anticipated horror flicks announced so Craven would be crazy not to jump on board. Personally I’m a huge fan of Craven and all three of his previous SCREAM films so I’m stoked for SCREAM 4!
Campbell also chats a bit about David and Courtney Cox Arquette returning as well as spilling the news that filming is set to being April 2010 on SCREAM 4. For the whole interview you can head right over HERE and be sure to keep it here for all your SCREAM 4 updates as we hear them!
