Cannibal Holocaust dated!

After delays due to packaging issues, Ruggero Deodato’s 1979 ‘satire’, CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST, is set for an October 25 release!

Notorious for it’s snuff film qualities and use of real-life footage of animals and people being killed (no, not the actors), CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST is still banned in over 60 countries (at least, according to the IMDB). Now, Grindhouse Releasing and Ryko Distribution are set to have film released uncut and remastered for your viewing pleasure (or pain, whichever turns your crank).

Extras for this two-disc release include:

To coincide with the DVD’s release, CANNIBAL HOLOCAUST returns to theaters the same day the DVD is released. The film plays October 14 and 15 at midnight at Landmark’s Sunshine Theatre in Hollywood, CA., with personal appearances by Robert Kerman both nights.
