Earlier in the week, we had a little blurb on Capcom’s acclaimed zombie beatdown-fest Resident Evil 4 coming to the PC, but it was only announced to be released in Europe. It was expected that the North American announcement would be right on it’s ass. And it was.
In a press release today, Capcom announced that the game would indeed hit the PC in North America. Whether this will be the Gamecube version or the PS2 version (which has more goodies in it) remains to be seen. Interestingly, Capcom would not be handling the port. Instead, Ubisoft (makers of the Splinter Cell series) would be handling it. Regardless of this, considering the reputation of either company, it’s not a huge deal. As well, Resident Evil 4 wasn’t the only one announced for the PC.
Fans of Capcom’s other series, Onimusha and Devil May Cry, will be getting the 3rd entries for the respective series for the PC as well. Again, no word on any extras or enhancements, but at least PC fans get Dante talking smack and kicking ass. Onimusha 3 heads to shelves later this month, whereas dates for DMC 3 and RE 4 are still coming. Now if you’ll excuse me, I have a hard drive to buy…
