Capt Spaulding directs

Fangoria got word over the weekend
that Sid Haig, everyone’s favorite dirty clown from

THE DEVIL’S REJECTS
and

HOUSE OF A 1000 CORPSES
, will be jumping behind the camera in his
first feature film.

The movie will be called
WITTENBERG
and will
center
on a reality show in which the participants are taken to a titular mental
facility, and treated like patients to see if the experience would make them
insane for real. Unfortunately for them, they fall under the care of the twisted
Doctor Dorian, who will be played by Haig himself.

Haig told Fango
“I can’t wait
to get started on this film. The psychological aspects are truly horrific and
twisted. I like it! I have been waiting for an opportunity to direct a film for
a very long time, and I could not have found a better first project to show my
skills.”

I loved Haig’s performances in both
of Zombie’s films and think that he has a genuinely great horror personality. I
mean look at the f**king guy, he looks like a maniac! Also this role seems like
it would be a great fit for him. I’m pretty excited to see what he can do behind
the camera.

The film is being written by
Jill Gatsby and produced by other
genres vets P. David Miller and Tami Ann Bishop. To read what else Haig had to
say to Fangoria click

way, I’ve included a ‘motivation shot’ below for him and all to enjoy!
