Captain America 2 sets critical events in motion for Avengers: Age of Ultron

If you were planning on skipping CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER, you might want to rethink that. Turns out that critical moments will be set into motion that lead into THE AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON. This news coming straight from Bob Iger, Disney CEO and Chairman who revealed this information to investors and analysts.

Iger also stated that, “parts of the “Captain America” sequel’s plot will be reflected in ABC’s :”Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” This we learned back in November though at the time it was merely a rumor.

This, however, is not a new technique. Plenty of end credit scenes have weaved together the Marvel movie universe. If anything this confirms that there will be some juicy, maybe even juicier scenes that will be included in the Cap sequel.

I don’t know how you could think about skipping the second CAPTAIN AMERICA installment. It actually looks like it might be better than the first. Iger promises that the sequel “takes the Captain America story to incredible new levels.” Okay, so he sort of has to say that, but I believe it.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER hits theaters on April 4, 2014.
