Carell & Fey on a Date

They’ve been sharing a schedule on their respective TV shows, but now Steve Carell (THE OFFICE) and Tina Fey (30 ROCK) are hooking up outside the Peacock.

While details are as skimpy as that skirt, Carell and Fey will intermingle for Fox’s comedy DATE NIGHT, about a married couple whose routine schedule of “date night” ends up taking them to great lengths to preserve the “spark” of their relationship.

Shawn Levy, who has helped deaden Steve Martin this century (THE PINK PANTHER, two CHEAPER BY THE DOZENS), will direct the project based on his own idea. He’s currently shooting the unnecessary but inevitably lucrative sequel to A NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM. Let’s hope Carell and Fey bring their A-game to this one…
