Case 39 int’l dates set

It has been bloody ages since a little movie called CASE 39 was made. Hell, my man Ammon was actually on the damn set – in October of 2006!! Since then, the movie has gotten the MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN treatment – being pushed back and back and back, with no hope in sight. That can’t be a good thing, especially considering it stars a movie star like Renee Zellweger, who I guess is still kinda popular (although certainly not as popular as she was in 2006).

While we still have no real idea when the thing is getting released here in North America, it would appear as though it’s actually got something cooking overseas. If you head on over HERE you’ll see that it has Fall release dates set up all across the globe. Practically everywhere except the U.S. Of course, this is a “I’ll believe it when I see it” proposition, and Paramount can always decide it wants to wait until 2010 to show off what must be a really, really bad movie.

After rescuing a young girl, Lily Sullivan, from her abusive parents, the predictable world of social worker Emily Jenkins (Zellweger) begins to spiral dangerously out of control. It gradually becomes apparent that Emily has inadvertently unleashed an ancient and mysterious force, one which threatens not only her life, but that of her young charge and those around her.

Check out the trailer below and let us know if you even care whether or not this flick ever sees the light of day. In fact, the trailer gives away so much that maybe it’s completely unnecessary to watch the film. (Hey at least it’s rated R… For now…)
