Cast for SyFy Channel’s “Being Human” remake just about set

We brought you the news way back in October that the SyFy Channel was planning on remaking the popular BBC series “Being Human.” You guys remember that? Another update on the project came at us back in March but since then we’ve heard zilch.

Well today we’ve finally got some movement on the project courtesy of The Ausiello Files at Entertainement Weekly. According to the site the new series has found itself quite the cast… Actually the cast is a few relative unknowns but we’re going to run with it anyway! Apparently the three names that’ll be starring in SyFy’s interpretation of “Being Human” will be Sam Witwer, Sam Huntington and Meaghan Rath (all above). Now Witwer is probably best known for his role on “Smallville” while Rath (below) can be seen on “The Assistants.” Huntington on the other hand is probably the most successful of the bunch, posing as ‘that guy’ you see in a lot of things.

Now I should point out that according to EW, just Witwer and Rath are a done deal. Apparently Huntington is still in talks for the project but it seems he’s the front runner. Witwer will be playing ‘Aidan the vampire’ while Rath signs on as ‘Molly the ghost’ with Huntington eyeing ‘Josh the werewolf.’ So in case you haven’t been following along, let me school you all on what the series is about:

Three apparent twenty-something characters share a house, trying to live a normal social life, despite being a ghost, a werewolf and a vampire.

Now that’s all we’ve got thus far but hey, at least it’s something right? We’ll be keeping a lookout for more “Being Human” updates so be sure to keep it here for more as we hear it!
