Casting underway for Dumbledore in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them 2

After spending a decade in J.K. Rowling's Wizarding world with eight films chronicling the adventures of Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), Hermione Granger (Emma Watson) and Ron Weasley (Rupert Grint), we'll be returning to that world just next week with FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM. Although the characters will be mostly all-new, a few old friends will be making an appearance in upcoming FANTASTIC BEASTS sequels, including future Hogwarts headmaster Albus Dumbledore. During the recent FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM press-junket, director David Yates told ScreenRant that a younger Dumbldore would be turning up in the sequel and that casting was already being discussed.

It was recently announced that Johnny Depp had joined the cast of the FANTASTIC BEASTS sequel and, although it wasn't mentioned which character he would be playing, many have assumed that he will be playing Gellert Grindelwald, Dumbledore's former friend who stole the Elder Wand and wreaked havoc across the globe. Like Grindelwald, Dumbledore's name has popped up in several pieces of marketing for FANTASTIC BEASTS AND WHERE TO FIND THEM, which makes it only natural that he would be putting in an appearance at some point in this five-film saga.

Who would you like to see play Dumbledore in the FANTASTIC BEASTS sequel?
