About ten days ago we were treated to a first, albeit painfully crude, bootleg trailer for Alexandre Aja’s extremely fun looking bloodbath PIRANHA 3D. And while we’re all still pissed for having to wait an extra 4 months to see the film theatrically (now August 27th instead of April 16th), a much better look at the trailer has just surfaced (via TrailerSpy). It’s certainly not pristine, nor official, but it’s heaps more intelligible than the last we saw (judge for yourself below!)
With various script credit going to Aja, Josh Stolberg (SORORITY ROW), Pete Goldfinger (SORORITY ROW) and Gregory Levasseur (HIGH TENSION, P2) – PIRANHA 3-D is set off when A tremor under the surface of Lake Victoria unleashes scores of prehistoric piranhas, an event which rallies the local sheriff (Elisabeth Shue) who will risk everything to save her townsfolk.
Aside from a ripped up Shue, the flick stars Christopher Lloyd, Eli Roth, Kelly Brook, Riley Steele, Richard Dreyfuss, Adam Scott, Dina Meyer, Ving Rhames, Jerry O’Connell, Jessica Szohr and Cody Longo.
