Celebrate Vampira’s birthday with “Vampira Chant” music video

Saturday was the late Maila Nurmi’s birthday. Nurmi, who passed away in 2008, is better known as legendary horror hostess Vampira. Our boys at Dread Central premiered a music video to celebrate her birthday. Watch the 10-minute clip for “Vampira Chant” below.

The video stars Bill Moseley (THE DEVIL’S REJECTS) and Ashlynn Yennie (THE HUMAN CENTIPEDE). The musical talents of Moseley and Ari Lehman (FRIDAY THE 13th) were provided for the recording. The lyrics are based on PLAN 9 FROM OUTER SPACE.

The track comes from Vampira: The Movie Original Motion Picture Soundtrack, featuring recordings by VAMPIRA: THE MOVIE documentarian Kevin Sean Michaels. The CD was released back in 2008. No word on if there are other videos planned.
