Last night on AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D., we saw the debut of Adrianne Palicki as Bobbi Morse. In previous interviews, Palicki indicated that she took the role because it had the potential to go from the small screen to the big screen Marvel Cinematic Universe, depending on how fans reacted to her portrayal. The character of Mockingbird has long been as significant a character as Black Widow and Hawkeye in the annals of S.H.I.E.L.D. so this would be a natural addition to the team.
The latest photos of Palicki for the next episode of AGENTS OF S.H.I.E.L.D. shows her doing away with her HYDRA garb and suiting up in a much more familiar outfit. The new tactical suit is fitting with the aesthetic of both the TV show and the big screen costumes for her fellow heroes. Costume designer Anne Foley shared some insight on the design.
"I looked at all of her comic appearances and really wanted to try to bring elements of the look from the comics into the costume that we're doing now for the show because I know it's important to the fans," remarked Foley. "It's important to me to keep certain elements, but we had to change it, obviously, for practicality, because it had to fit into our world. It had to have a kind of tactical feeling to it too so that it made sense in our universe.
I like the look of it and Adrianne Palicki was one of the highlights in last night's episode. She kicked all sorts of ass and looked good doing it. I can definitely see her carrying over to the big screen in this role.
