A Long Time Ago in a Galaxy Far, Far Away…
Well…Chicago, Illinois to be exact, but a trek (natch) nonetheless for many fine Star Wars fans, who have come to take part in the annual Star Wars Celebration festivities for 2019. This year has many excited, as there's quite a bit to share from the world of Lucasfilm, including panels for Star Wars: Episode IX (which we should have a title for by tomorrow afternoon) and The Mandalorian (both of which will surely show some footage and/or trailers) as well as a first look at some of the attractions at Disneyland's Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge, which opens this summer. Beyond that, there's the 20th Anniversary of LEGO Star Wars (Yup, the first sets were from Episode I), a first look at EA's Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and much, much more!
However, just like any convention, there's TONS to see on the actual floor and Star Wars is no exception. From art to cosplay to toys to collectibles to apparel to displays to…tattoos? Yup, they've got it all and no matter what galaxy you hail from there's definitely something for everyone. I had the opportunity to walk the floor for a few hours, soaking it all in and taking copious amounts of photos and video (look for that later) to share with you guys.
