Hard not to dig what we’re seeing here from CONAN THE BARBARIAN. The first clip from the August release has just hit the ‘net, and it’s actually quite formidable, giving us a look at a young Conan as he proves just how much of an ass-kicker he can be. Wouldn’t want to tangle with this little dude in the schoolyard. (Me being a puss, I wouldn’t want to tangle with anybody in the schoolyard, but especially not this diminutive beast.)
Oh, and Ron Perlman’s in the house too, for added badassery.
The film’s synopsis: A quest that begins as a personal vendetta for the fierce Cimmerian warrior soon turns into an epic battle against hulking rivals, horrific monsters, and impossible odds, as Conan realizes he is the only hope of saving the great nations of Hyboria from an encroaching reign of supernatural evil.
CONAN THE BARBARIAN hits theaters – in 3D and 2D – on AUGUST 19th. I have a feeling I won’t be able to resist.
