Having started production in Toronto, Ontario just last month, today we’ve got our first look at CARRIE in action via some behind the scenes footage. In the video we’re treated to director Kimberly Peirce and star Chloe Moretz. In the particular scene we’re watching Moretz’s ‘Carrie’ is approached by the ‘popular girls’ in school and a confrontation ensues. Don’t take my word for it though, tap that shite below or over in our videos section.
The quiet suburb of Chamberlain, Maine is home to the deeply religious and conservative Margaret White and her daughter Carrie. Carrie is a sweet but meek outcast whom Margaret has sheltered from society. Gym teacher Miss Desjardin tries in vain to protect Carrie from local mean girls led by the popular and haughty Chris Hargenson, but only Chris’ best friend, Sue Snell, regrets their actions. In an effort to make amends, Sue asks her boyfriend, high school heartthrob Tommy Ross, to take Carrie to prom. Pushed to the limit by her peers at the dance, Carrie unleashes telekinetic havoc.
Along with Moretz the flick also stars Gabriella Wilde (below), Julianne Moore, Judy Greer, Portia Doubleday and Ansel Elgort. CARRIE already has a March 15, 2013 release date tapped so expect a lot more from this one as we move towards the end of the year.
