Marvel’s next one-shot short is set to debut at Comic Con next week and today we have a look at the poster and some stills for AGENT CARTER, which follows the exploits of the British agent of S.H.I.E.L.D., played by the beautiful Hayley Atwell, who first graced the screen as the titular character in CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER. The poster is a retro, old-style comic book cover, which lends itself to the time period of the short (and of Agent Carter’s era) and the stills give a peek into the old timey spy setting.

Here’s the poster:

Here’s the stills:

And, lastly, a synopsis:

Hayley Atwell (TV’s The Pillars of the Earth) reprises her role as an analyst with the nascent S.H.I.E.L.D. organization, the SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve.) They do things like, you know, build super-soldiers, fight evil, and go in search of the enigmatic “Zodiac.”

Out of all the Marvel shorts, I think this is the best looking of the bunch. For one, it has a relevant character that ties into the overall Marvel Cinematic Universe and secondly, Haley Atwell. Yes, her presence is enough for me. The short will debut at Comic Con next week, but won’t be available for the masses until the release of IRON MAN 3 on blu-ray/DVD on September 24, 2013.
