Chiller TV’s adaptation of Brian Keene’s novel Ghoul starts casting

Way back in March I told you all how Chiller TV were working on adapting a couple novels for the small screen. You guys remember that? One project was the adaptation of Steve Niles’ graphic novel REMAINS while the other was an adaptation of Briane Keene’s genre novel GHOUL. If you don’t recall that news there’s no need to worry, I’m about to catch you all up.

You see word over at The Hollywood Reporter has GHOUL snatching up a couple new cast members. While you probably won’t recognize the duo by their names alone once you take a glance at them chances are they’ll ring a few bells. Youngster Nolan Gould and veteran actor Barry Corbin are the latest to join Chiller’s debut telefilm. Gould (below left) is probably best known for starring in the hit comedy “Modern Family” while Corbin (below right) has pretty much been in a boat-load of stuff. Chances are you recognize him from something. Gould will be taking the lead in the film as ‘Timmy Graco’ while Corbin will be playing his grandfather ‘Dane.’

No one believes Timmy when he tells them he and his friends discovered a ghoul eating the dead in a local cemetery; but when the ghoul starts attacking the living as well as the dead, Timmy realizes it’s up to him and his friends to stop it.

The duo join the previously cast Catherine Mary Stewart in the film, which is coming at us from director Gregory Wilson. Production on GHOUL is already kicking down in Baton Rouge, Louisana with a fourth quater Chiller TV premiere already set. You know what that means right? Loads more GHOUL updates should be rolling our way soon so be sure to check back for those as they come our way!
