China does The Blair Witch? Check out Video Cassette of 31 Degress North Latitude!

While cruising along this here internet today I stumbled upon an intriguing little international project called VIDEO CASSETTE OF 31 DEGREES NORTH LATITUDE. Alright so the title needs a little work but wait until I tell you about this one…

The international project comes all the way from Mainland China, who right off the bat aren’t really known for their horror flicks. Now the guys over at 24FramesPerSecond actually got the early word on the project so I’ll let them explain the premise to you:

The story revolves around a group of scientists who travel into a remote region of China (at 31 Degrees North Latitude) infamous for strange occurrences, to do research in the legend of a mythical creature ‘The Wild man of China.’

A teaser trailer for the flick has popped up online and can be found over in our videos section, or directly below. As you can see the flick bares a striking resemblance to 1999’s THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT, and dare I say it’s actually looking pretty damn cool? Check out the trailer below and decide for yourself!
