There are some movies that I find myself following here on Joblo.com, meaning that I write multiple stories about them over a short period of time, and I feel like LOVE IN THE TIME OF CHOLERA is one of them. Something has drawn me to this film, but I’m not sure what. Perhaps if I had read the book and was excited to see it transferred to the big screen, then yes, but I haven’t, and I’m not. Maybe it’s because I find its female lead Giovanna Mezzogiorno to be stunning, maybe it’s because I find its male lead Javier Bardem, to also be stunning, or maybe it’s because I’m a sucker for sweeping, historical romantic epics (I’m not). Whatever it is, this is a film that’s nabbed my attention, which is why I’m presenting you guys with its new trailer. I gotta say, it’s a little disappointing. I can’t believe they used ‘voice-over guy’ and gave him lines like ‘a love story that spans a lifetime.’ This trailer should have left its images, dialogue, and music speak for themselves. Either way, you can check it out BELOW.
