Chris Pratt’s Cowboy Ninja Viking gets release date!

Last Updated on July 30, 2021

COWBOY NINJA VIKING is a new comic-book film from Chris Pratt (starring in both an adaptation of WANTED and GUARDIANS OF THE
GALAXY). The film, according to Deadline is about “a new kind of assassin who manifests the toughest skills of three different personas: Cowboy, Ninja and Viking.” Seems self-explanatory.

Deadline also revealed the release date for the film: June 28th, 2019. So I guess Universal, the studio behind it, has a lot of faith in Pratt and the concept. I personally think it could be cool, but it depends which Pratt we get. If we get fun,
goofy Pratt (ala Star-Lord or Andy Dwyer), we’re fine. We get “trying to be serious actor Pratt” from MAGNIFICENT SEVEN and especially JURASSIC WORLD, we might be in trouble. But, judging by the goofy premise, we’re probably in for a good time.

So what do you Schmoes think? Any fans of the original graphic novel? And if so, you down for more Chris Pratt superheroing? Either way, sound off below!
