Chris Tucker says Rush Hour 4 is close to happening

Slowly but surely, RUSH HOUR 4 is coming together — at least, that's the word according to star Chris Tucker

Jackie Chan confirmed the fourth entry in the franchise was happening many moons ago, and Chris Tucker recently solidified his claims. While recording an episode of the "Winging It" podcast, Tucker made some promising comments regarding the future of the RUSH HOUR series.

"We're working on a few things on the script right now, so we're trying to get into production. But we're working on it and trying to get it goingJackie Chan wants to do it, I want to do it, [the] studio wants to do it, so we're trying to get it together. I guess, Jackie and me, but yeah, I was definitely down as long as it comes together right. And it looks like it's coming together right".

Tucker also revealed during the interview that he was a fan of his co-star long before the two came together for the first RUSH HOUR back in 1998. As the 47 year-old comedian explains, he always admired Jackie Chan.

"I was a big fan of Jackie Chan's before we started the first Rush Hour so I was excited. And I knew that my comedy style would work good with his martial arts and his comedy, so it was a perfect match for me, because I could be physical and be funny in that certain movie."

When the film does (hopefully) come together, the RUSH HOUR 4 will see Tucker and Chan reunited as Carter and Lee. The buddy cop comedy franchise has gained upwards of $849 million at the box office over the years, spanning locations onscreen ranging from Los Angeles to Hong Kong, and then on to Paris.
