DRIVE ANGRY is apparently lookin’ to have the coolest f*cking cast possible, as the revenge thriller just keeps on adding names that scratch us in just the right way. According to the good folks at ShockTillYouDrop, Patrick Lussier has just brought Christa Campbell on board. Campbell has been in over 40 films, most notably both 2001 MANIACS, and the DAY OF THE DEAD remake. (She was also in the soft-core show “Erotic Confessions”. Rrroowwwrrr…)
Campbell joins Nicolas Cage, William Fichtner, Amber Heard, David Morse, Billy Burke, Charlotte Ross, Simona Williams and Tom Atkins in the flick, which was written by Todd Farmer and Lussier, the duo behind MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D. This one centers on an ex-con (Cage) driven by rage who is chasing the people who killed his daughter and kidnapped her baby. The vendetta/rescue spins out of control as the chase gets bloodier by the mile, leaving bodies strewn along the highway.
Filming is currently going down in Louisiana, and a release date of February 11, 2011 in the cards.
