Christoph Waltz hunts Liam Hemsworth in trailer for Most Dangerous Game

Aftering learning that he will soon die from a terminal illness and desperate to provide for his pregnant wife, Dodge Maynard (Liam Hemsworth) accepts an invitation from a mysterious man (Christoph Waltz) to participate in a deadly game of survival. Each hour Dodge survives will earn him more money, for a total of $24.5 million if he survives the full 24 hours.

Most Dangerous Game is one of several series set to debut on Quibi, and if you're not up on exactly what Quibi is, it's an upcoming short-form streaming service founded by Jeffrey Katzenberg which is looking to target younger viewers with premium content delivered in "quick bites" for viewing on the go. Each Quibi series will be around two to four hours in length, but will be divided into segments no longer than 10 minutes each. Some of the other shows developed for Quibi include The Fugitive starring Kiefer Sutherland and Boyd Holbrook, a revival of Reno 911, as well as Spielberg's After Dark, a horror series written and created by Steven Spielberg which, through the miracle of technology, you'll only be able to watch after sunset. Although I need another streaming service like I need a hole in the head, I am somewhat curious to see how Quibi fares.

The official synopsis for Most Dangerous Game:

In the series, desperate to take care of his pregnant wife before a terminal illness can take his life, Dodge Maynard (Hemsworth) accepts an offer to participate in a deadly game where he soon discovers that he’s not the hunter… but the prey. The action-thriller explores the limits of how far someone would go to fight for their life and their family. Let the games begin.

Most Dangerous Game will arrive when Quibi launches on April 6, 2020.
