Right now I’m torn between laughing my ass off or shitting my pants. I guess either way, the answer involves my butt, but that’s hardly important knowledge. No, the main reason for my hilarity/fear is the picture above of the latest marketing ploy sent out by MGM to celebrate this past Tuesday’s release of the 20th Anniversary Special Edition of CHILD’S PLAY on DVD. Yup, that’s a bunch of life-size Chucky dolls pacing about the streets of New York!
Could you imagine walking to your job on a cloudy Tuesday morning and winding up face to face with one of these f*ckers?! That there is some creepy shit! The only thing scarier, I can imagine, would be running into a bunch of Catherine Hicks (the way she looks now) impersonators. Yes, Ms. Hicks played Andy’s mother in the original CHILD’S PLAY and yes, I do have a bit of a grudge against her.
