Chucky TV series first episode is now on YouTube

The Chucky TV series made its premiere on Syfy and USA Network last night, but if you missed the first episode don’t despair. USA Network has gone ahead and put the episode on their YouTube channel – you can check it out by clicking that link, or just watch it in the embed at the bottom of this article.

The first season of Chucky is set to consist of eight episodes, and our own Alex Maidy had the chance to watch the first four of them. You can read his 7/10 review at THIS LINK. Future episodes of the show will continue airing on both Syfy and USA Network at 10pm on Tuesday nights.

A follow-up to all of the Child’s Play movies (remake excluded), Chucky picks up where Cult of Chucky left off. Don Mancini, who has written every Child’s Play film (except that remake) and directed a few of them, developed Chucky with producer David Kirschner. Mancini and Kirschner are executive producing Chucky with Harley Peyton, Alex Hedlund, and Nick Antosca. Mancini also directed the first episode. The show’s synopsis:

After a vintage Chucky doll turns up at a suburban yard sale, an idyllic American town is thrown into chaos as a series of horrifying murders begin to expose the town’s hypocrisies and secrets. Meanwhile, the arrival of enemies and allies from Chucky’s past threatens to expose the truth behind the killings, as well as the demon doll’s untold origins as a seemingly ordinary child who somehow became this notorious monster.

The cast of the series includes Zackary Arthur, Devon Sawa (playing the dual role of twin brothers), Bjorgvin Arnarson, Jacob Breedon, Lexa Doig, Teo Briones, Jennifer Tilly, Fiona Dourif, Alex Vincent, Christine Elise, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and Lind’s real-life mother Barbara Alyn Woods. David Kohlsmith is playing the young Charles Lee Ray for the scenes where we’ll see his “untold origins”. And yes, Brad Dourif has again recorded the lines Chucky will be speaking.
