Box Office Mojo tells us that Paul Weitz’s CIRQUE DU FREAK finally has itself a release date: JANUARY 10, 2010. This puts it in direct competition with LET THE RIGHT ONE IN (Unnecessary Remake Edition), and the Denzel Washington-led THE BOOK OF ELI. I’m sure this will change as I doubt three high profile genre flicks will want to face off against each other. Hopefully the stalemate will end with the cancellation of LET THE RIGHT ONE IN altogether…
The flick is about a vampire who drafts a 14-year old to serve as his assistant. The youth is turned into a half-vampire and becomes the catalyst in a battle between vampires and the rival Vampanes.
