So it appears Apple has just issued a second trailer for Louis Leterrier’s larger than life rendering of CLASH OF THE TITANS. And you know what? The shite ain’t half-bad. Actually it kinda rocks (witness it in HD HERE)!
Starring Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Gemma Arterton, Nicholas Hoult, Alexa Davalos, Danny Huston, Pete Postlethwait, Jason Flemyng, Mads Mikkelsen, Izabella Miko, Polly Walker and Vincent Regan – The CLASH is the story of:
The mortal son of the god Zeus, as he embarks on a perilous journey to stop the underworld and its minions from spreading their evil to Earth as well as the heavens.
And if you’re a fan of Greek mythology, all the players are present. We’ve got Zeus of course, Perseus, Medusa, Hades, Draco, Athena, Poseidon, Andromeda, Apollo and Artemis, hell, even our man Ammon is in the fold (well, at least in name)!
An interesting aside: Apparently Stephen Norrington (BLADE) was set to direct the film, but since he had never seen the 1981 original (which Leterrier grew up loving), he wasn’t sure he could adeptly remake the film while remaining faithful to its source material. Norrington handed the project over to Leterrier, and is now devoted to bringing THE CROW back to the big screen sometime in 2011.
