Synapse Films have announced two new genre releases for next month.
The classic MANIAC COP is coming to Blu-ray, it looks and sounds better than ever in this brand-new 2011 high-definition transfer, featuring newly remixed DTS-HD Master Audio surround sound!
MANIAC COP Special Features:
Synopsis: Innocent people are being brutally murdered on the streets of New York by a uniformed police officer. As the death toll rises and City Hall attempts a cover-up, Frank McCrae heads the investigation. A young cop, Jack Forrest, finds himself under arrest as the chief suspect, having been the victim of a set-up by the real killer and a mysterious woman phone-caller. Forrest, his girlfriend Theresa, and McCrae set out to solve the puzzle before the Maniac Cop can strike again.
The film was directed by William Lustig, and it stars Bruce Campbell, Tom Atkins, Laurene Landon, Richard Roundtree and Robert Z’Dar.

The other film release is SOUTH OF HEAVEN, I actually know very little about this film, aside from the fact it stars the lovely Diora Baird (below).
