Sometimes a film comes along and the option not to talk about it is literally non-existent. Over the weekend we were given the heads up about the latest flick from CHOPPING MALL director Jim Wynorski, and I can almost say that I didn’t see this coming… almost…
The flick’s called CLEAVAGEFIELD, and it goes a little something like this: A bunch of hot chicks are having a slumber party for their friend Tiffany, who’s off to Sweden to make a high end Triple X movie. The festivities are in high gear; but then a giant monster inexplicably invades Los Angeles. One girl videos everything as the babes make a run for it through the city. But there are more things to beware of beside the monster. According to some naked hotties seen in an alley way, the monster is covered with moth-mites that drop off its slimy body then attack unwary female victims, chewing off their clothes. It’s a harrowing night for all involved.
Ah, soft-core parody’s of bigger budgeted projects. While I dug the crap out of CLOVERFIELD, I have this feeling that CLEAVAGEFILED will be offering a different level of enertainment in it’s basic retelling of the giant monster tale.
What may be the biggest shocker to me is director Wynorski’s career. CHOPPING MALL, THE RETURN OF SWAMP THING, THE HAUNTING OF MORELLA, and of course…THE BARE WENCH PROJECT 2: SCARED TOPLESS. From classic 80s horror to soft-core film parody’s… hey, at least the guy’s still out there doing his thing. And if you can’t make spectacular event movies, you might as well remake them with a bunch of naked hotties, right????
No word on when CLEAVAGEFIELD is looking to hit a DVD store near you (or, at the very least, a pay channel on your cable box), but if an announcement’s made, you can bet your ass you’ll be the first to know!
