This morning I heard news so rash, so crazy, so utterly f*cked up that I thought it couldn’t be true. I mean, it’s so ridiculous in nature that somebody had to be pulling my chain. Well, it’s not April (though it is August 1st… hmmm…), and the source has been proven reliable in the past, but still… this is just too strange.
The boys over at have discovered that George Clooney, yes George Clooney, will have a role in Paramount Picture’s upcoming of !!! At this point, I don’t know what’s f*ckin’ crazier to me, the fact that Clooney will be in a remake of PET SEMATARY, or the fact that they’re actually PET SEMATARY!!!
I for one am a HUGE fan of the original 1989 film, and see no real reason to remake it. Sure, while it scared the bejesus outta me when I was a tot, it’s not all that scary now (and true, some parts are even kind of boring), but I’m not sure if it’s total remake material. The kid was creepy, Mr. Munster was great, and Rachel’s sister Zelda… yeah. Still gives me the shivers.
